Among Northwest League leaders, the Canadians have four players amongst the top ten: Je’Von Ward (64, 1st), Sean Keys (60, 2nd), Eddie Micheletti (55, 6th), and Carter Cunningham (54, tied for 7th)
The Canadians wrapped up July with a 14-11 record that included several excellent individual efforts that saw Fernando Perez pitch his best baseball to date managing a 1.45 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and 21 strikeouts against 4 walks in 18.2 July innings.
Carter Cunningham had his best month with a .856 OPS including five home runs and 14 free passes.
Cutter Coffey led the C’s in July with 29 hits, 15 runs scored, and 18 RBI producing an .868 OPS in 24 games.
Edinson Batista (RH) gets the ball for the Canadians as he makes his 6th start and 24th overall appearances noting that the last time he allowed three earned runs across 3.2 innings at home against Eugene.
The following game saw top Blue Jays prospect Arjun Nimmala along with excellent work from the pitching helped the C’s pull out a 4-1 win at Gesa Stadium noting that the C’s led from the opening pitch.

Vancouver led wire-to-wire. A lead-off walk in the top of the first and a Cutter Coffey single in the next at-bat put runners at the corners with no outs before a double play plated the game’s first run.
The C’s return home for a a six-game series with the Hillsboro Hops that saw the C’s drop the game in a match that was like playing on a sponge that saw them give the Hops a 10-7 win despite a late rally that saw them bring the tying run to the plate in the bottom of the ninth.
A three-hit game from top Jays prospect Arjun Nimmala as well as strong pitching helped the Cs manage a 4-1 win over Tri-City at Gesa Stadium.
Trailing 10-4 after eight and a half that saw three straight walks the bases only to have Alexis Hernandez drive in a run with a sacrifice fly followed by a single.

Tonight’s game is set for a 7:05 first pitch with the C’s dropping two in a row are looking at getting back in the win column tonight.
