PJHL Announces 2025 Winter Classic

The long anticipated wait is finally over as the Pacific Junior Hockey League announces the 2024-2025 Winter Classic played in both Richmond and Cloverdale.

With the division of the league having Tier 1 and Tier 2 divisions they have chosen to have both Tier’s play within their own division.

The Tier 2 winter classic is being played in Cloverdale while the Tier 1 winter classic is being played in Richmond at the Minoru Arena.

Richmond Sockeyes President Doug Paterson mentioned “The Richmond Sockeyes are honored to have partnered with the PJHL, and the City of Richmond over many years on this event. We continue to work together to provide the best opportunities in amateur sport for all participants through the Sockeyes and our other community partners. It’s an exciting time of year for Hockey at all levels in the Richmond Community and is largely due to the support the City of Richmond has provided to the Hockey Community in our city”

The event, which runs December 28th through Dec 30th, 2025 at Minoru Arena in Richmond, will be available live on FloHockeyTV

As in the past scouts will be in attendance where these players will be able to showcase their talents in front of WHL, USport and College Scouts from across North America.

The PJHL Winter Classic, which is part of the regular-season schedule, features 7 games with each of the league’s 8 Shaw Conference teams playing one to two games. Ticketing information will be provided at a later date.

The PJHL Harold Brittain Conference are holding their own Winter Classic is being held at the newly opened Cloverdale Sport and Leisure Complex beginning December 27th running through to December 30th with two games each day.

Swing by either rink and catch exciting Junior PJHL hockey!!
