“T” Time At Point Grey

The 2014 Presidents Choice Vancouver Golf Tournament (first event of the year) held it’s Pro-Am event at the Point Grey Golf and Country Club with 21 groups hitting the links with a total of 105 golfers on the green’s.

pc financial openThis is the first of 12 events on the Canadian PGA 2014 tour with the format that matches a Pro and Four Amateurs for a round with a shot gun start.
The event officially starts Thursday at the Point Grey course, but this event see’s everyone test out their skills ahead when the official event.
This was also the registration for the golfers as they arrived in town to hit the links (6801 yards) and trying to figure the course  with the top pro players taking part with there own tier own separate skins game with a purse of $2500.00 in addition to the team event today.
Some of the top PGA Tour Canadians players taking part in the tournament the BC connection has James Allenby (Surrey), Devin Carrey (Burnaby), Corey Renfrew (Victoria), Darren Wallace (Langley), Ryan Williams (Vancouver), Eugene Wong (North Vancouver), Albiin Choi (Surrey), MacKenzie Hughes (Hamilton), Nick Taylor (Winnipeg), Riley Wheeldon (Richmond), Graham Delaet (Weyburn) Brad Fritsch (Edmonton), David Hearn (Brampton), Garrey Max (Gilbert St. Georges), Derek Gillespie (Ottawa) and Beon-Yeong Lee from Montreal.
These are only a a few players to watch out for in the tournament which begins on Thursday out at Point Grey Golf Club.club house
The tour is made up of 12 events sponsored by Presidents Choice Financial across the Canada from May to September which concludes with the tour Championship this fall in London Ont.
Come out and enjoy some great pro golf action this week as events like this to see is where you get to watch the top players hit the links.
